Evolon® filaments consist of polyester and polyamide granules and are converted into endless, star-shaped filaments. The filaments are spread evenly on a base and split into microfilaments using high-pressure water jets. At the same time, however, the microfilaments are also closely linked by the water jets and consolidated in such a way that a textile material with a fineness of up to 0.05 dtex is produced: Evolon®.
The cross-section shows an extremely dense and solid material.
Evolon® microfilaments are up to 200 times finer than a hair.
